Excavations near Weenen
Archaeologist Gavin Whitelaw, KwaZulu-Natal Museum, and a team from the University of Pretoria led by Kefilwe Rammutloa are currently excavating an Iron Age site near Weenen, KwaZulu-Natal. The site dates to 1300 years ago. The photos show archaeologists Kefilwe Rammutloa and Pascal Mutakaya excavating a possible courtyard floor. Kefilwe is a PhD candidate at Yale University.
