The KwaZulu-Natal Museum joined the global community in promoting inclusivity and raising awareness of the challenges faced by people living with disabilities.
As part of International Day of Persons with Disabilities celebrations, the Museum's outreach team, accompanied by representatives from the South African Human Rights Commission, visited Inkanyezi Protective Workshop in Imbali. The visit aimed to engage residents on their respective rights and responsibilities within society as individuals living with disabilities. Additionally, and in light of the saying, "๐๐จ๐ญ๐ก๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ ๐๐ฌ, ๐๐ข๐ญ๐ก๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ ๐๐ฌ," the visit also aimed to encourage residents to become active citizens and voice out the challenges they encounter on a daily basis, as this would facilitate a more inclusive and supportive society for all.
