As we move towards the end of the year, the KZN Museum is happy to share our involvement in two meaningful events:
Combined Book Launch & Farewell Party
Date: Sunday, 15 December 2024
Venue: Ekhaya Guest House, Ballito
We are proud to join A Chorus Of Rustics (ACOR) to mark this special occasion. KZN Museum's Heritage Symbol & Cultural History Assistant, Sboniso Gcumisa will deliver a talk titled "Why Poetry Matters and the Importance of Recital." This partnership began during our 5th Annual Storytelling Festival campaign in August this year, and we are excited to strengthen our ties with ACOR.
Reconciliation Day Commemoration
Date: Monday, 16 December 2024
Venue: Nquthu, Ncome Museum
Theme: Healing Historical Wounds and Forging New Futures
In partnership with the Ncome Museum, we are hosting a vibrant day filled with performing arts , including Indlamu, poetry, and traditional music. The event will bring together traditional leaders, rugby legends (symbols of reconciliation and unity), youth, Amabutho (Zulu and Sesotho regiments), and the broader community to celebrate unity and healing.
Stay tuned for updates as we celebrate stories, culture, and reconciliation.
