Inspired by the theme, “𝑰𝒕’𝒔 𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒊𝒏 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒃𝒂𝒕 𝒑𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒕𝒚 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒒𝒖𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚,” the organisations visited Little Flower Kids Palace Creche to spread some Madiba magic. Staff members from the partnering museums worked hand in hand to brighten up the creche’s playground and donated essential items including food, clothing, and toys, making a meaningful difference in the lives of the children.

 

The day's activities culminated with netball and soccer games between a joint museum team versus teachers from Umvuzo High School. The games aimed to foster the ongoing partnership between the three institutions, as well as to pay tribute to Madiba's love for sport, placing emphasis on the power of sport to unite, inspire and spark positive change.
