KZN Museum Curator, Ghilrean Laue, recently attended a Student Development Workshop held in Lesotho (5-11 December 2018). This workshop was mainly for Archaeology students in Southern Africa (i.e. South Africa, Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Botswana and Malawi). The aim of the workshop was to encourage networking between students and professionals, in sharing ideas, opening dialogues between archaeologists and community. One of the longstanding partners of this initiative is PAST and ASAPA (Association of Southern African Professional Archaeologist) and new partners PGS Heritage (Professional Grave Solution). Ghilrean Laue presented two talks, one on “Getting your work published" and the other on "Rock Art documentation and Surveying".

The KwaZulu-Natal Museum announces the publication of Garth Sampson and Dennis Neville's new book, "The world of the Seekoei River Bushmen: habitat and resources".

Lyn Wadley writes: "The prose is clear and clean with writing that skips effortlessly from page to page.
