KwaZulu-Natal Museum Launches 120-Year Anniversary Celebration with Special Guests from Keep Pietermaritzburg Clean Association
The KwaZulu-Natal Museum is embarking on a momentous journey as it celebrates its 120th year of enriching the cultural landscape of our community. To kick off this extraordinary milestone, the Museum welcomed friends from the Keep Pietermaritzburg Clean Association, symbolizing the strength of community collaboration.
Lara Edmonds from the Keep Pietermaritzburg Clean Association, with friends, Rose Day, and Dr. Liz Thompson graced the Museum with their presence, extending warm congratulations on reaching this remarkable anniversary. Their visit added a touch of celebration, emphasizing the importance of unity and shared accomplishments within the community.
Viranna Frank, the Public Relations and Marketing Manager at the Museum, expressed deep gratitude for the heart-warming visit, stating, "It's moments like these that make our anniversary celebration truly special. The support from the Keep Pietermaritzburg Clean Association reflects the strong bonds that tie our community together."
A highlight of the visit was the display of vibrant, hand-knitted 'ellies' (elephants) by the community. These charming creations, originally crafted for the city's 185-year celebrations last year, are now on a heartfelt journey to local clinics as a generous donation. The Museum extends sincere thanks to Lara Edmonds and the entire Keep Pietermaritzburg Clean Association team for their commitment to spreading celebratory cheer and making a positive impact on the community.
As the KwaZulu-Natal Museum embarks on a year-long celebration of its rich history, the support from local organizations like Keep Pietermaritzburg Clean Association sets the tone for a year filled with camaraderie, gratitude, and shared cultural experiences.
