A. My name is Kirstin Williams, I am the Chief Curator of Arthropoda. I am an entomologist. My job includes collecting insects on field trips, doing research work on insects and looking after the entomology collection.

A. One of the highlights of working at the museum includes the opportunity to attend international conferences to present my work to an international audience. I most recently attended the International Congress of Dipterology in Namibia in 2018.

A. If you want to go into a research career, you must make the most of any opportunity that comes your way. Look for internships or volunteer to get experience.
