Matabaro Ziganira
Research Technician
Matabaro Ziganira manages the General Collections, consisting of specimens from various groups such as arachnids, myriapods, crustaceans, herpetology, palaeontology and geology.
Before joining the museum, he worked as Applied Entomology Lecturer at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), Agronomist, Project Manager of DNA barcoding: joint project between University of Guelph and UKZN, as well as Urban Entomologist Consultant.
He has a general interest in invertebrate macrofauna, in particular towards using invertebrates in sustainability assessment, ecosystem services and functioning, as well as biological and environmental indicators.
