KZN Museum outreach education carries on in term 3 with our Enviro Reach programme. Grade 11 learners had the unique experience of doing scientific dissections of the kidney for Life Science.
Dissections of a living specimen builds scientific skills, promotes scientific learning, discovery and understanding. As the KZN Museum we have created a standard operating procedure on how to complete dissection of the kidney, provided a set of scalpel and forceps with a dissection board and the organs for a stimulating experience.
Grade 12 learners can book our exciting lecture on Evolution, at the Museum, for the term.
The pictures with this post highlight a demo dissection in collaboration with Russell High School (Mrs M Amod) in preparation for deliveries to 11 schools.
